Target transition speed comes from how efficiently you pull your eyes off one target and lock in precisely on a small spot on the next target, not by moving the gun faster or harder.

From lack of a foundation in principles, lack of experience, poor habits, outdated, inefficient training techniques, and plain bad advice, this is a failure point for many shooters.

How do I determine my speed of fire at intermediate to far distances when urgency and accountability are needed? I’m basing it on what I see. I’m not basing it on what I hear.

I finished strong, competing against 23 other shooters in the Practical division, coming in 1st place on stages 1 and 2, 2nd place on stage 3, and 3rd place overall. 

In self-defense, you absolutely need precision and control, at speed.
