Get more out of your training
After 15+ years of attending large group classes, I’ve found they often fail to deliver any meaningful results. Why? Because a one-size-fits-all approach and overly generalized feedback has never given me the individualized attention needed to achieve objective, measurable results.
With the tailored instruction I deliver in my private training, I test my students’ foundational shooting skills and deliver a custom curriculum that targets their unique strengths and challenges. My students get coaching every step of the way, through every exercise, and every rep. With immediate application of coaching, more trigger time, quality reps, and no wasted time, students get more out their training, optimizing their time and their money.
I started a recent class by having my student run a cold assessment on a mini stage (I demo the stage in the video posted below). This allows me to identify where we wanted to put in isolation work. We then spent the day working very specific exercises that focused on visual cues and transitions, getting the time and reps needed to explore concepts and get feedback. At the end of the day we ran the same mini stage a few times to apply learnings and test progress.
In a large group open enrollment class, you’re basically at the mercy of whatever the instructor’s prescribed curriculum is. There is no opportunity for tailored coaching and exercises to address your specific skill gaps and needs. And from my own experience, you’ll probably get no more than 15 minutes of personalized attention. That’s not to say there aren’t benefits to attending a large group class, but the gains you realize will probably be limited. The benefits of a private class — four hours focused entirely on you — will optimize your time, money and progress.
In this video, I’m demonstrating continuous flow of movement and blending targets.
