Can you strong and weak hand?

Had a solid run on a recent classifier, USPSA CM 24-01, “Can You Strong and Weak Hand?” It combines a few different hard skills. In order to place well you have to shoot very aggressively with a high level of accountability. With a hit factor of 8.57 (A class), I finished 2nd in Carry Optics for this stage.

This stage required shooting freestyle (both hands), two reloads and shooting both strong and weak hand. Having a consistent index when shooting single hand is definitely more challenging and requires practice. Though it’s not the most important component in training, it’s often neglected.

Be sure to dedicate a little time to strong and weak hand shooting. The gun behaves and returns differently when shooting with one hand. You’ll need to explore grip pressure to get that consistent index so that the dot is there every time.
