Match #25 All Rifle HF Match

Super fun day to pressure test skills over 6 challenging stages. Stages 3 and 2, respectively, above. I was happy to break into the top ten against a group of very competitive shooters. Finished 10th overall out of 38 shooters with 4 out of 6 top ten stage finishes. 5th place being my best stage finish for the day on Stage 4.

Lessons learned from my previous rifle match were addressed and fixed for this match, and I was able to improve from 18th to 10th place. Now, back to the lab to address any deficiencies that popped up from this match. Consistent work, nonlinear progress.

Competition as a tool for development and to test what your capabilities are under pressure is invaluable. Your skill set must be accessible on demand and under stress, or it is not a skill set you own. Learn to run your gun.

Side note: Got to live out my Val Kilmer in Heat bank heist gunfight on Stage 2 with that bag 😄.
