1ST IN hosts David Wampler at Topton Fish & Game Association for his two-day competition class. The class will be focusing on applying pistol fundamentals seen in practical shooting competition. You’ll be evaluating patterns, isolating areas in need of improvement and repping out practical scenarios.
What’s covered:
Shooting Fundamentals: Students will be refining Posture, Grip, Trigger Control, Target Focused Shooting and Transitions.
Movement Fundamentals: Students will be refining entries and exit efficiencies. Shooting on the move and how to keep the Gun up/ ready Sooner
Stage Strategy Fundamentals: Students will identify areas in which they can apply their strengths to successfully complete stages as well as identifying weaknesses and applying mitigation of risk strategies.
Exercises: All Fundamentals will be tested running field courses and exercises commonly found in USPSA,PCSL,IDPA and other practical shooting type of events.
Expectations: Students can expect to leave with an understanding of how to self diagnose issues in their own training and implement strategies to elevate their performance.

Gear Requirements:
Full size Pistol, 5 magazines minimum. Strong side holster and minimum of 2 magazine pouches/holders. (No Serpa holsters) AIWB aka Appendix carry authorized, but must demonstrate proficiency and have a secondary outside the waistband, strong side rig available.
Expected round count : 1200-1400 rounds
Prerequisite:
Must have competed in 2 or more practical shooting competitions or have taken a reputable competition pistol class.
