Transitions & Movement

Working the THS Short Course from concealment.

My personal focus:

  • Tracking the numbers in terms of points and time needed to reach my goals. Experimenting with what's possible, where I can improve, and where the wheels come off.

  • Hard skill development. This has multiple things going on to build skills. Aggressive vision and discipline, connection to the gun, transitions, movement, confirmation levels, and working around vision barriers (modified here)

  • From an EDC perspective, this stage has a huge amount of practical value, in my opinion. Fast, efficient draw, aggressive short burst movements, multiple targets at varying distances, varying transitions, partials/no shoots, different levels of confirmation, and a time constraint.

Rehearsing for a "what if" scenario is not the same as building pressure tested on demand skills that you can rely on regardless of context. Are you building real skill?
