Dynamic Pistol Class

One of the exercises that will be in my Dynamic Pistol class at Topton in Mertztown, PA and in my Dynamic Movement Workshop at Delaware Valley Sports Center In Philadelphia.

A short scrambler to push higher performance. It isolates and mimics portions of match stages and has direct crossover defensive utility. Couple of key components that are being developed and tested:

- Off the draw must have distance, be unforgiving, and force visual discipline, patience, and precision. Mini ADAP steel partially obscured at 20 yds works well.

- Entries - far enough to disconnect from the gun and have to rebuild your grip, eyes and gun up in deceleration hunting for the targets through the vision barrier, a target array (2 open and a partial) at 6 yds to push aggressive vision and shooting.

Key components we were tracking in Isolation:

- Time to first hit

- Movement time to second position

- Confirmation levels, splits, and transitions time on array

Three runs back to back. No edits to promote developing consistency of skill in students.

Focused practice. Process oriented. Check outcomes over time to track progress.
